Diagnosis of Turbomachinery

Utilizing state-of-art diagnostic technology and equipment, we specialize in conducting root cause failure analysis(RCFA) and precise diagnostics to address issues related to rotating equipment such as Steam, Gas, Hydro Turbines, and Pumps, as well as stationary equipment in both domestic and international power generation and industrial plants. our commitment extends to providing optimal and customizable solutions that ensure the stable operation of our clients's facilities.

Hydraulic Technology

In regards to hydraulic facilities, we possess the best conservation technology, relevant knowledge, and component reverse engineering skill. With our technological prowess and know-how, we carry out the following tasks: Pursuing domestic manufacturing of hydraulic actuators used in power plants; Analyzing the cause of hydraulic system malfunction or failure and providing optimal solutions; Examining performance of hydraulic actuators, servo valves, hydraulic control valves and piston pumps with test equipment; and Providing engineering services.

Vibration Analysis

With our technology, we not only analyze the failure of a machine after it has occurred, but also predict and diagnose symptoms of failure at an early stage. Through such services, we are contributing to greater stability and enhanced reliability of power plant and industrial plant facilities.

Electric Facilities

The center provides services such as maintenance, diagnosis, testing and assessment of electric equipment of power plants and industrial sites. We also develop maintenance technologies and provide technical
consulting services. Equipped with data, maintenance engineering technologies and
experience we have accumulated over the past years, our group of experts are
proudly competing with the advanced maintenance companies from both
Republic of Korea and overseas. In particular, the center provides the top
re-engineering service in the large-scale electric rotating
equipment sector.

Thermal Performance Diagnosis and Evaluation

With KEPCO KPS’abundant plant maintenance technology, we
suggest the best ways for maintaining and repairing facilities.
We also conduct economic analysis, allowing our clients to
maximize profits through energy saving.

Life Assessment/ Boiler Diagnosis

Based on a wide variety of on-site experience and design capacity with
regard to power plants and industrial facilities, the center performs lifespan
assessment including prediction of remaining functionality and RBM
(Risk Based Maintenance) as well as precise boiler diagnoses. The center continually develops technologies and performs training, and as a result, its technologies are highly acknowledged at home and abroad.

I&C Engineering

We are involved in the areas of I&C regarding power generation and industrial facilities and electricity control concerning automatic voltage regulators and power converters. Our major activities are: technology consultation, initial startup, improvement, repair and retrofit. By analyzing characteristics of power generators and control systems and continuing to develop maintenance technology, we are providing reliable engineering services for a variety of control facilities.

Insulation Diagnosis

The Insulation Diagnosis Team is responsible for making precise diagnosis of electric facilities to estimate the remaining life time of insulation, evaluate and analyze the degree of aging and provide basic data for optimal maintenance. We provide the best of service that helps prevent sudden shutdown and serious failure of facilities caused by abnormal aging that has occurred during operation. This contributes to greater reliability of facilities and higher stability in electricity supply.

Computational Analysis and Assessment

The center performs diagnosis/assessment by conducting FEM simulation in consideration of maintenance and design factors of generating facilities to discover the root cause of and address the troubles and provides the engineering technology for optimized maintenance solutions and plant rehabilitation.
