- The Human Resource Development Center was founded in August 1997 for the purpose of cultivating key engineers by field who have global sense and capacities in the 21st century with advancement of power-generating equipment and pioneer the future with creative and challenging spirit to realize the cradle of manpower development. Since 1998, the General Training Center has conducted practice-oriented training by field and made effort to contribute to securing reliability, raising capacity utilization, and making repair technology advanced.
- We are equipped with cutting-edge training facilities including lecture room,
instructors' room, repair training building and living building and other accessory facilities. We also opened 80 repair training courses including basic course, professional course, engineering course, and development course, and 4 job improvement courses including management innovation course and conducting training of both theory and practice. Besides, we are continuously performing development of practice program to provide experience learning required in the power plant and audio-visual training materials through introduction and research of overseas new technologies as well as independent technology development.
- Furthermore, we have developed repair technology training courses by rapidly coping with advancement of power-generating equipment, and all our instruction staff will make every effort to play the role of training institute to provide global general plant service to be true to the name.
History
- 1979 ~ 1987 : Education/training and organization operation
- 1985. 12 : Established short- and long-term training plans
- 1988. 05 : Opened the first in-house training hall (in Sudo Technical Senior High School)
- 1990. 03. 01 : Opened the Seoul Training Center
- 1995. 10. 01 : Launched the task force for establishing the Hydraulic/Thermal Power Technology Training Institute
- 1997. 06. 17 : Completed construction of the training center (KEPCO)
- 1997. 08. 01 : Opened the Hydraulic/Thermal Power Technology Training Institute Transferred the business of the Seoul
Training Institute
- 2003. 12. 27 : Specified as the training institute for the course on improving job efficiency of power transmission engineers
by KEPCO
- 2006. 03. 22 : Changed the name to the General Training Center
- 2007. 08. 31 : Certified as an ISO 18463 Training Center by the Korea Certification Institute for Machine Diagnosis
- 2008. 09. 30 : Certified as the top institute for human resources development
- 2008. 12. 31 : Completed 11th year of training courses (Total of 82 courses carried out 151 times for 2,187participants and
12,043 MDs)
- 2009. 01. 28 : Changed the name to the Human Resource Development Center
- 2017. 10 : Human Resources Development Institute relocation to Naju new building
- 2019. 02 : Reorganization of the Human Resources Development Institue (integration of the Nuclear Maintenance
Training Center)
- 2020. 08 : Separation of Nuclear Maintenance Training Center
