Overseas Power Plant Operating & Maintenance

Since breaking into the global market, KEPCO KPS has promoted Korea’s top-level technologies and been actively performing overseas business in about 25 countries across the world, such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Madagascar, the Philippines and South Africa. The company started its overseas business in 1982, and since then, it first achieved
winning an order worth $100 million in 2007 and secured a one trillion-dollar-contract for Jordan IPP3
Power Project in 2012. It has put itself on a firmer footing and has been on track to expand
its business on the global stage, animated by the latest accomplishments of obtaining
Pakistan LEPCL(Lucky Electric Power Company Limited) O&M Project.
KEPCO KPS has become a truly unrivaled and leading global company
in the power industry, thanks to its high technical skills and
considerable work experiences, providing the following services: O&M,
retrofit, and overhaul of power facilities; rehabilitation of turbine
parts; maintenance of transmission facilities and technical training.
As the global demand for rehabilitating aging facilities increase,
the company is redoubling efforts to seek rehabilitation project
and to diversify its business in response to such rapidly shifting
market conditions.

Overseas NPP Business

KEPCO KPS has been participating in maintenance of nuclear power plants around the world by dispatching engineers and technicians to Westinghouse and a number of European companies for decades. In 2014, the company has independently won the refueling project of Angra Unit 1 in Brazil, re-branding itself as a global maintenance provider for nuclear power plants. The company has participated in the UAE NPP project as part of the KEPCO consortium in 2009 and won the commissioning project

for 4 units of UAE nuclear power plants, and has entered the Long Term Maintenance Service Agreement for the UAE nuclear power plants in 2019 as a member of Team Korea(consisting of KEPCO KPS & KHNP).
Through these accomplishments and projects, KEPCO KPS will make a great leap forward as a player in the international market to provide maintenance services in all areas of mechanical, electrical and I&C. Using the experience and successes as a stepping stone, KEPCO KPS plans to diversify its business foundations to win new orders and provide customized services to countries who are at its early stage of developing technologies for maintenance.
